Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her acting debut came at the age of 16 in The TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller part. She struggled with the transition to acting as models were not considered as good actors, and they usually got less roles. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In the course of a couple of years Amy stepped into more leading roles. She starred in the 2005 love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her work over the past 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major movies including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
