Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born March 24 1977. She is an American producer, actress and model. She is best known for her performances in films with feminist themes. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one the 100 most influential persons globally in 2012. Chastain developed an interest in acting as a child and made her professional performance debut in the year 1998, playing Shakespeare's Juliet. She was a student at the Juilliard School and was then hired to a talent-holding contract with John Wells, a television producer. She was a frequent guest star on various television shows, and played several roles in stage productions. Chastain's first film appearance was in Jolene (2008) when she was 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough with six film releases which included The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2012). As a character in the films, she played an aspirant socialite and CIA analyst, she earned Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). Greater commercial success came with the science-fiction films Interstellar (2014) and The Martian (2015), and the horror film It Chapter Two (2019). The strong-willed character of Chastain in the dramas A Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were also praised. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She took home the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain established Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She is vocal about gender equality, mental illness and racial equity. She is engaged to fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo who is her partner.
